Das ist ein Zitat der Band BTS, die ihre Fans A.R.M.Y. – Armee, nennen. Der Satz erklärt die Bedeutung hinter den Buchstaben: „Adorable Representative MC for Youth“ (auf deutsch sowas wie: Die bezaubernden Jugend-Botschafter). Andere Fans heißen Swifties, Gaylors, Livies, Little Monsters, BeyHive, Fohlen… Andere sind Fans von Mangas, Filmen, fiktiven Figuren…
Die Theatergruppe STERNA | PAU untersucht, wie Fan-Sein sich anfühlt. Wie Fans sich begegnen und wie sie ihr Fan-Sein allein und mit anderen leben. Welche Geschichte führen zum Fan-Werden? Wie und wohin bewegen sich verschiedene Fan-Schwärme? Was hält sie zusammen? Und kann man sich auch wieder ent-Fan-en?
Vom 24.09. – 26.09. werdet ihr in der laufenden Ausstellung SAFT!!! ein paar neue Stationen finden, die sich rundum das Thema Fan-Sein drehen. Teile der Theatergruppe sind am 24.09. auch vor Ort und freuen sich von eurem Fandom zu hören.
Schwärmen ist eine Produktion von STERNA|PAU und wird gefördert durch das Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen, das NRW Landesbüro Freie Darstellende Künste, die Stadt Dortmund und den LWL – Kulturfonds. Die Arbeit ist eine Koproduktion mit dem FFT Düsseldorf und dem Theater im Depot, Dortmund.
SCHWÄRMEN – A Research Project on Fans, Ex-Fans and Future Fans

This is a quote by the band BTS, whose fans are called A.R.M.Y. The quote explains what the letters stand for: “Adorable Representative MC for Youth”. Other fans call themselves Swifties, Gaylors, Livies, Little Monsters, BeyHive, Fohlen… Others are fans of manga, films, fictional characters…
The theatre company STERNA | PAU is exploring what being a fan feels like. How do fans meet each other, and how do they experience their fandom on their own and together with others? What stories lead us to become fans? How do different fan swarms move – and where are they heading? What holds them together? And can you ever become an ex-fan?
From September 24 to 26, you’ll find a few new stations all about fandom in the ongoing exhibition SAFT!!! at uzwei. Members of STERNA | PAU will also be there on September 24 and would love to hear about your fandom.
